A meeting of the many young men interested in the formation of a bicycle club was held at the residence of F. G. White, on San Jose avenue, last Wednesday evening. The Alameda Bicycle club was organized in this city last Wednesday night and the following officers were elected: F. G. White, president; J. F. Ives, captain; H. K. Porter and W. O. Bird, lieutenants; V. A. Clark, secretary and treasurer and bugler.

Three members of the Alameda Bicycle Club, John Morsant, H. K. Potter and Harry Williams, enjoyed a run this afternoon to Piedmont. They went by way of Oakland and returned by way of East Oakland. The run was mado in about two hours.
